The US U-16 Girls participated at the 6-Nations Tournament of Gradisca, joining Iran U-17, Mexico U-17, and the U-16 teams of France (winners), England and Italy. The US lost 1-0 to a determined Italian team as the opening match, beat Iran U-17 6-0, finally taking 4th place after losing at penalty shoot-out against Mexico U-17.
